Too easy rice bag cushions.

Today I found 3 of the empty 5kg rice bags I've been hanging on to and as I was trawling through blogs yesterday and came across coffee bag cushions I decided to make rice bag cushions. ( as you do..! )
The rice bags come with a zip & a little handle so no sewing is required at all ( suits me !! ) - just find an old pillow, gut it and rip out the stuffing and use it to fill your new rice bag cushion, or if you need to buy a new cushion insert and rip the filling out of that. TOO EASY !!
As these little bags have a pre-made handle they are great for clipping onto your backpack if your flying or bussing somewhere, I chuck mine in the back of the car for those times when you just have to....Zzzzzz or your kids have had a big night !! ;)

Aussie Veggie Poem

Aussie Veggie Poem
I ate a tiny little pea
It was really hard to see, but
It was so tasty and so yum
I ate another 3

I ate a red tomato,
It tasted good to me
I think I’ll eat another bit
Its good for my tum-my

I ate a piece of broccoli
As green as green could be
My yummy piece of broccoli
Looked like a little tree

I ate some yellow corn
It was sweet as sweet could be.
I ate it all and then I thought
I’ll have some more for tea

I ate an orange carrot
the biggest I ever saw
It was so sweet & crunchy
I ate the whole one raw

I ate some white potato
They told me it was mash
It was all soft & creamy
I ate it in a flash

I ate some yellow pumpkin
Yellow like the sun
I chewed it up and swallowed it
Then had another one

I really love my veggies
I’ll eat them in a flash but
I think my most favourite meal
Is pie, gravy, peas & mash

Faux rusty tin door

....so here is the door at the start - bland and brown

here I have started blocking in base colours and layout   .......

now I've added in some shadows and highlights...all of which get altered later

This is the finished door which blends in pretty well - better in fact than I expected....just a few finishing touches, a few clout holes ...maybe a red back spider or two, I'll post more photos as I do them.   I'm pretty happy with it as this is my first attempt at anything major like this....what shall I paint now ?
